Our Story

Everbloom Farmacy grows thousands of seedlings on its 21-acre farm in Memphis. We share these seedlings with individuals, families, and community organizations starting their own urban gardens. Through the Community Learning Nursery, we teach our Grow Partners the practice of growing from seed and provide starter vegetables and herbs each season.

The Everbloom community gathered at the farm.

Everbloom also nourishes the well-being of our growers, sharing practices and activities at the intersection of health, community, and urban gardening. As an Everbloom grower, these resources help you:

  • Guarantee your access to free vegetables and herbs, especially in food deserts

  • Increase your consumption of fruits and vegetables, reducing the risk of death from cardiovascular disease

  • Improve your mental health by connecting with nature, which combats stress, builds self-esteem, and creates openness to new experiences

  • Connect with your community to develop neighborhood cohesion, trust, and social networks

  • Build your knowledge of food use and preservation, like canning and pickling

Everbloom empowers Memphians to address the issues of food security and chronic disease by providing the knowledge, skills, and means for anyone to grow food at home.

Through a low-cost, scalable, and replicable model, Everbloom’s alliance of growers is creating food sovereignty – access to healthy and culturally appropriate food produced through ecologically sound and sustainable methods.
